Nia Long's short hair style

Nia's hair appears cropped but isn't. It's short, certainly, and drawn back all along the hair line so that it follows what appears to be the shape of her head.
But when you look closely there's a long section of hair smoothed over the top, from her right to her left, and you can see that the hair has been raised slightly above the forehead and below this longer, lateral section.
The effect is to build a very smooth, very round, very attractive shape atop Nia Long's head, so that her face reflects that perfect oval to which so many women aspire.
It's a shape that isn't necessarily foreign to her anyway, as you can see in another of her 2006 hair cuts pictures. But this hair style certainly brings out that oval.
